Dedicate pets
I found on the forums that once a pet is dedicated that the process can't be undone and can only be dedicated to one character. I just wanted to clarify, if you dedicate a pet to say 1 character you own, is it dedicated to all characters you own or just the specific character that you dedicated it with? Basically does it dedicate to your account or the specific character you use?

minipets are dedicated to your account,
if a character goes into the hall of monuments and dedicates the pet--it will show up on their character as well counting towards your account (however if you have character view up and log into another character also on character view it will NOT show up--for the other characters on your account it will ONLY show up on account view). If you dedicate the pet--it will say dedicated, not dedicated to xyz. (you can still find a few customized pets that are customized to characters--this was what anet did first, and later corrected to dedicated). hope this helps explain. otherwise I suggest: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/%22Devotion%22

It might be easier to explain that dedication actually applies to the pet itself, not a character or an account. Think of it as a ticket for an event. You present the ticket to get in the gate, the guy punches a hole in it and hands it back. The ticket always has a hole in it, no matter if you keep it, give it to your brother, or trade it to someone else for a candy bar.

The answer is kind of both. The mini is canonically dedicated to the character, and it will only appear in that character's personal HoM. However, as cosyfiep said every character's HoM achievements are counted towards the account, and if displayed in account-mode every character can see it. In the specific case of Devotion, each mini is equivalent to a statue, so nothing is gained or lost by dedicating minis on any particular character. Though as with any other monument, duplicate statues between characters will not improve your HoM score.
So in short the dedication is counted for the character AND to the account, but NOT individually to the other characters. |

Alright that makes sense. So basically the dedication is only for an "achievement" so to speak? If you're just trying to show off a pet it doesn't matter what character you dedicate it with, once you get it in the HoM or w/e you don't have to dedicate a different one of the same pet on another character. And if the dedicated character is deleted at a later time the pet is still dedicated in the HoM?
Also what is the "prize" for dedicating every pet? |

I believe your account HoM is unchanged by the deletion of a character, yes. Anything that has previously been added to it will remain available to view.
There is no award for dedicating every mini, as some are nigh impossible to obtain, but you will continue to receive HoM points at certain milestones until reaching 50 minis. You can keep adding minis beyond that but will receive no further points. |

depends....some people just want to get enough to have a full Hom. (which is 50 miniatures), other people want to 'get them all', others just like to collect ....
so the point is what you want to get from it, if you just want a cute little companion, then just get the one(s) you like, if you want to have a full hall..then get 50, if you have the need to try to get all 100+ of them...then good luck to ya'
